Overview
Launching a visually inclusive cross-over between UCL and HBO Max, that identifies key components for UCL fans whilst keeping the integrity of our brand.
My Role
Integrating Marketing Key Art, UCL branding, and HBO Max Branding into key user components that lead to live content.
CHAMPIONS LEAGUE X HBO MAX
2 weeks before going live, I was tasked with ideating the branding for Champions league and HBO Max. Conversations regarding keeping the brand’s integrity as well as implementing the HBO purple were in play for the creation and embodiment of UCL on platform.
Design Process
MARKETING X PRODUCT ALIGNMENT
Our Marketing team needed to align with what was being placed on the platform, this was an inherently difficult task - most of these marketing materials weren’t easily adaptable, and they also had different approval and legal processes. Yet, it was incredibly important to have visual continuity from marketing materials in ads, emails, and social media posts, to immersive heroes, collections, and spotlight pages where the user acquires their content.
UEFA’S ROLE
Uefa manually approved all assets that were designed by me prior to our team’s growth, as well as our in-house product design director.

Marketing x Product Alignment
In reference to the original design, the Marketing team came up with these graphics to showcase the team players in ads for the 2021-2022 season. Visually, these include hand-drawn elements, such as the scribbles, signature, and accent markings.

Final Implementation
Cross-collaboration brought this spotlight page together. Intensive iterations, sourcing Getty images of players, and keen attention to detail made this page come to life. From conception to production, our LATAM UEFA page scored 1.7 Billion views until the final match in Paris.
Our efforts for the work done on our UEFA page served as a template for the launch of MAX and many other live events including the Oscars, Paulistao, March Madness (US), and Olympics (EMEA) + more.
